Alejandra Gutierrez has declared victory in her bid to represent District 1 voters on the Santa Barbara City Council. During her campaign, she fought to bring better representation to the Eastside. Her deep roots in the community, working to connect youth and families with the support and services they need to succeed, will serve her well as a City Councilmember.

Mike Jordan was declared winner of the District 2 City Council Election last Friday, after the second tally of ballots gave him a strong lead. We are excited that his strong background in City government – as a Planning Commissioner and Water Commissioner – and determination to solve difficult problems will be coming to the City Council.

In an election this close, our get-out-the-vote efforts can make all the difference. Thank you to the many volunteers that joined us throughout the campaign. Together, we knocked on thousands of doors, made thousands of calls, and effectively fought to improve our City. It was our collective passion and love for our community that made us victorious.
