The Santa Barbara County Democratic Party (SBCDP) continues to invite candidates to apply for its endorsement for the November 2020 election.
Gail Teton-Landis, Chair of the SBCDP, reminds local Democrats that the endorsement process for the November 2020 General Election is under way and we encourage all that are considering running, to please contact us.
At the July 2, Central Committee meeting, the SBCDP will consider endorsements for Goleta Union School District Board, Santa Barbara Community College Trustees, Districts 2 and 4, Santa Maria Mayor and Lompoc City Council, Districts 1 and 4. Teton-Landis stated that, “all those who seek to apply should contact our Endorsement Chair, Joe Pierre at . He will walk candidates through the process.”
Teton-Landis continued by saying that for updates, “the best way to find out information about the Democratic Party and its endorsement process and schedule is to check the web page at www.sbdems.org/endorsementprocess.
She also stated that, “We will continue to hold our SBCDP meetings and endorsement interviews on-line.”
Lastly, Teton-Landis is pleased to announce that at their June meeting the following candidates were endorsed:
Incumbent Jeff Hall, Alan Hancock College Board of Trustees
Santa Maria City Council, Osvaldo Sotelo
