Voting ends TOMORROW

Tomorrow is the last day of voting in the Santa Barbara City Election. It’s time for us to finish this campaign strong!

This election is about two competing visions for Santa Barbara. One is our progressive vision, which seeks to fight climate change, solve homelessness, stand up for racial justice, and ensure working people can continue to afford to live – and thrive – in Santa Barbara. The other is a conservative vision that puts profit over people and the environment.

Our City Council has been the most productive in decades at addressing the issues that matter: protecting renters and creating affordable housing, creating more oversight of our police department, and fighting climate change with aggressive clean energy measures.

For the first time in many years, Santa Barbara is at great risk of electing conservatives who would roll back the progress that our Democratic Mayor and Council has made.

How could that happen in Santa Barbara? Well, this election is also all about turnout. So far, under 30% of Santa Barbara voters have turned in their ballots, and the areas of our city where more conservatives and Republicans live are turning our in much higher numbers than areas where more progressives and Democrats live. Our strategy for these final two days is simple: organize as many Democrats as we can to vote. To do that, we need your help.

Please sign up to volunteer with us for the final two days of GOTV (Get Out The Vote). This is the last chance we have to stop the conservative takeover of Santa Barbara City Hall. With your help, we will preserve and build on the progress Mayor Cathy Murillo, Councilmember Kristen Sneddon, and Councilmember Meagan Harmon have made over the last 4 years.

Best,
